Artisan Luthiers, LLC, "Company", offers services for repair, maintenance, modification and customizing services for stringed instruments. We strive to do all said services "in-house"; however, we may utilize third-party entities for purchasing parts, kits, components, and supplies. We may utilize third-party suppliers, shops, or specialists to perform services including but not limited to design, manufacturing, fabricating, assembly/disassembly, finishes, repair, maintenance, and customizing when deemed necessary to fulfill our obligations to our customers.

Receiving & Returning Customer Items

Artisan Luthiers generally works in-person with customers to receive and return instruments, items, gear, equipment and merchandise. Our Company will accept certain items "shipped" to our Company if our Company has previously given written or verbal approval to a customer. Any shipping charges, inbound or outbound, will be paid by our customer, and will by covered for financial loss only as provided by the shipping carrier. Our Company does not insure any shipments.

Condition of Items

All guitars, gear, and equipment accepted for service by our Company are assumed to have no problems or issues beyond what is identified by the Customer. The Company will do a brief visual (non-invasive) inspection of items received, however; the Company is not responsible for hidden damage (internal, under cover plates or otherwise concealed), electrical components, fitment issues, cracks, chips, abrasions or general wear.

Owner Furnished Components, Hardware and Parts

THE COMPANY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITION, FITMENT, FUNCTIONALITY, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS, COMPONENTS, ACCESSORIES OR OTHER ITEMS. ANY MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO INSTALL OR ATTACH CUSTOMER FURNISHED PARTS OR COMPONENTS WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL CHARGES ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORMAL CHARGE FOR INSTALLING SAID ITEMS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE MODIFICATIONS TO INSTALL OR ATTACH. EXAMPLES OF THIS ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MOUNTING HOLES DO NOT ALIGN WITH EXISTING HOLES - HOLES OR CAVITY SIZE WILL NOT ACCEPT NEW PART OR COMPONENT WITHOUT MODIFICATION.

Service Prices

The Company makes reasonable efforts to update information on our website, advertising and marketing materials. Prices found online, in advertising and marketing materials may be outdated. Because few work orders rarely require the same parts and labor you should request a formal estimate to confirm pricing. Any estimates provided are good for 10 days from date of issuance, with the exception of parts pricing which are beyond our control. All estimates are based on a specific scope-of-work and any changes to said scope-of-work may affect pricing.

Claiming Process - Taking Items in Our Possession

The company will notify Customers when any items which they provided and we received need to be claimed. This includes but is not limited to items we received for our services or items we ordered or otherwise acquired on behalf of the Customer. The Company will make diligent efforts to contact our Customer, however; we are not responsible for the accuracy of, or updating, any customer provided contact information. All balances related to said items must be paid in full (USD) for items to be released to customer. The Company may require a Claim Ticket and/or government issued form of identification to confirm ownership prior to releasing any item.

Abandoned Items - Time Limit to Claim Items

Customers are required to claim items within 90 days of the first notice to claim said items. Any items not claimed within 90 days may be deemed "abandoned" by the Company, and are subject to liquidation by the Company, without any compensation paid to the Customer. Liquidation (i.e., sale, disposal, donation, etc.) of said items does not relieve Customer of obligations to pay Company for work and/or services provided.
